Incomings from Maynooth
Factsheet for Incoming Students from the National University of Ireland, Maynooth
- While maintaining the distinction between BA- and MA-students, Erasmus students coming from Maynooth University to Aachen can be guaranteed a place in all lectures, seminars and courses that are on the syllabus of the English Department, if they sign a learning agreement and send it to the department's student exchange coordinator Caroline Zurhelle-Waser 3 months in advance of their stay (at the latest: by the end of July for a winter term and by the end of February for a summer term). The programme of classes for the term in question is accessible through the link www.campus.rwth-aachen.de.
All classes of the Department are taught in English.
- Incoming students can also take subjects other than English if they have a sufficient command of the German language, as all lectures and courses in the other departments of the “Philosophische Fakultät” (= Faculty of Humanities) are taught in German (with the exception of some classes in French and Spanish in the Department of Romance Languages). To agree upon lectures and courses that can be chosen from these departments, students should contact their Erasmus coordinators per email.
