Promoting Young Academics at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities
Promoting young academics is of major importance to the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, and RWTH supports this process in many ways.
In addition to the structured doctoral studies program, the Faculty of Arts and Humanities offers its own young academics program.
In addition, the Young Academics Forum offers a platform for regular interaction between interested academic staff and scholarship holders of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities. In addition to the professional exchange of information on current and planned research projects, the other focal points of the Young Academics Forum are research methods and strategies as well as the exchange of information on the subject of teaching.
Young Academics Program of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities
The Young Academics Program - Gemeinsam.Weiter.Denken - aims to support the international networking and third-party funding of young academics at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities.
Support is provided for academic staff of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at RWTH Aachen University who are pursuing a doctorate or post-doctoral qualification. Furthermore, scholarship holders of RWTH graduate funding are eligible to apply if they are pursuing a research project at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of RWTH.
The Commission for the Promotion of Young Academics decides on the allocation of funding.
The following things can be funded:
- Travel associated with the qualification project (conferences, workshops, stays at other universities)
Applications by January 15 and June 15 of each year - International tandems that bring together the expertise of the applicant and an international, more experienced project partner.
Applications by January 15 of each year for the following year - Organizing conferences with 10 to 15 lectures and preferably with an international and/or interdisciplinary character to promote the integration of young academics into the scientific community.
Applications must be submitted by June 15 for the following year. - Further training measures to assist young academics in obtaining third-party funding
